Nevada Tech Ratio Rules

When I first dug into the proposed Nevada Tech Ratio Rules, the part that mattered most was what a solo-pharmacist setting would look like.

The heart of it is Section 2, subsection 3 of the proposed rule R072-25. It lays out a pathway for pharmacies to be staffed with only one pharmacist under certain conditions. A solo pharmacist would need a minimum of one support staff member in a pharmacy without a drive-through, and two if there is a drive-through.

Rural pharmacies get an exemption from the multiple-pharmacist requirement. That exemption does not extend to the solo-pharmacist floor, so a rural pharmacy with one pharmacist would still need that minimum support staff.

The rule is still a proposal. It has not been adopted, and NAC 639.250 is the rule in force.
