Do certified technicians count toward Tennessee's 6:1 ratio?
No. Certified technicians (CPhT) do not count against the 6:1 limit in Tennessee. Only non-certified technicians are counted, which makes certification a direct scheduling lever.
Do pharmacy interns count toward Tennessee's technician ratio?
No. Rule 1140-02-.02(12) states that a pharmacy intern is not a pharmacy technician for purposes of the rule, so an intern does not use one of the six non-certified slots.
