What 7shifts does well
A serious restaurant tool, and only a restaurant tool.
7shifts connects deeply to restaurant point-of-sale systems and uses sales to forecast how many people a shift needs. Its tip pooling and Fair Workweek rules solve real restaurant problems. RxShift builds none of that, because a pharmacy’s staffing floor is set by its state’s pharmacy law, not by predicted covers. We found nothing on 7shifts’ site aimed at pharmacies.
What a pharmacy owner should check
Three honest questions before you decide.
- Does your state set a ratio or pharmacy hour rules? Then 7shifts leaves the hardest part of your schedule to you. RxShift checks every shift against your state’s rule as you build, and cites the rule it used. Find your state.
- Do its strengths do anything for a pharmacy? Sales forecasting, tip pooling and Fair Workweek notices are restaurant problems. A pharmacy’s are its ratio, its certified staff and the record of who was on duty.
- Why is 7shifts on your list at all? It is likely there because a generic “best scheduling software” roundup put it beside RxShift; we found nothing on 7shifts’ site aimed at pharmacy.
