States without a ratio or hours rule

What if my state has no pharmacist-to-technician ratio?

Then the limits on your schedule are yours to set, and RxShift holds every shift to them. It builds and publishes your schedule, checks hours, breaks and rest before you publish, keeps an append-only record of every change, and checks your state each month for new pharmacy staffing rules.

What you get in any state

Most of RxShift works the same in every state.

A state ratio is one rule RxShift checks. Everything below is there from your first day, wherever your pharmacy is.

A schedule built for a pharmacy

Pharmacists, technicians, technicians in training and interns, each with their certification on record, across one location or twenty-five. Copy last week forward, add your holidays, and publish when it is right. Staff only ever see published shifts.

Your limits, checked on every shift

Set a cap on hours in a day or a week, overtime alerts, required breaks, minimum rest between shifts, a limit on days in a row, and each person's availability. RxShift flags the shift that breaks one while you build, before anyone sees the schedule.

Time off, call-outs and swaps in one place

Requests come in from staff phones and go to the people who approve them. A logged call-out marks the shift on the schedule, and a manager-approved swap is checked again the moment it is applied.

A record of every change, for when someone asks

Every edit, approval and publish lands in an append-only audit log: who, what and when. Entries are never edited or deleted, and a manager can add a note for context. When someone proceeds past a warning, the override log keeps their reason.

Exports and a print view you can hand over

Schedules for any date range and any of your locations export to Excel, as do the staff roster and the audit log. The print view lays out each location's week on its own page.

AI that drafts, and a person who decides

Ask for shifts in plain English and RxShift drafts them. Nothing changes until someone on your team confirms it.

Built for the phone in your pocket

Staff check their schedule and send requests from their phone. Add RxShift to the home screen and it opens like an app, with nothing to download from an app store.

Ready when your state changes

Pharmacy staffing law moves. RxShift moves with it.

Florida repealed its technician ratio in January 2026. Nebraska changed its certification rule in April 2026. Rules come and go, and a pharmacy rarely hears about it until it matters.

Each month RxShift checks every state it has not yet built for a new ratio, shift-length limit, required break, rest rule or staffing records duty, at the Board of Pharmacy and the legislature themselves, not a copy of the rule.

When a state adopts one, we read the rule, record the citation and the date we read it, and build it into RxShift, as we already have for 31 states. Your audit log is already there, with every change since your first day, so the history exists when a new rule makes someone ask about it.

The states

States where we found no ratio or hours rule.

We read each state's pharmacy law and found no pharmacist-to-technician ratio, shift-length limit or required break. Beside each state is the date we last read it.
